Фармакоэпидемиологические исследования необходимы для совершенствования системы рационального использования лекарственных средств, а также выявления наиболее проблемных областей. Подобные исследования позволяют оценить не только количественные показатели потребления, но и такие показатели как приверженность пациентов терапии, частоту случаев полипрагмазии и злоупотребления лекарственными средствами.

Pharmacoepidemiological  studies  are  necessary  to  improve  the  system  of  rational  use  of  drugs  and  to  identify  the  most problematic areas. Such studies make it possible to evaluate not only quantitative indicators of consumption but also indicators such as patient adherence, frequency of cases of polypharmacy, and drug abuse.
