An article can be withdrawn (retracted) from the journal “Real-World Data & Evidence” upon an official request to the editorial board of the journal from the authors of the article stating that:

After a second review, a decision was made to retract the article due to identified methodological problems that cast doubt on the correctness of some of the presented results and their interpretation.

The main reason is the data that provoke a direct comparison of outcomes between incomparable treatment groups without proper statistical adjustment, which is not acceptable within the framework of the study design and contradicts the rationale for the key additional objective of the study.

An incorrect survival analysis was performed without taking into account the effect of insufficient statistical power due to the sample size. This limits the possibilities for interpreting the results and makes statements about the absence of significant differences in the comparative survival analysis statistically unfounded. Such conclusions are permissible only if the power of the study allows for reliable confirmation or refutation of the hypothesis about the absence of differences.

Calculating overall survival from diagnosis rather than from the start of CDK4/6 inhibitor therapy does not allow us to assess the direct contribution of the drugs being studied to survival, since this indicator is greatly influenced by the patient's medical history and previous treatment.

Figure 3 shows incorrect graphs that do not correspond to the text and may mislead the reader." (letter date September 10, 2025).
