The II annual scientific-practical conference with international participation "RWD/RWE - Research Tools for Real Clinical Practice Today and Tomorrow" was held on September 16.

The conference was moderated by the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Evidence-Based Medicine of the First St. acad. I.P. Pavlova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Aleksey Sergeevich Kolbin.

The partners and sponsors of the conference were Roche, Takeda and Johnson & Johnson. The technical organizer of the conference was Aston Health.

The topic of the conference brought together leading Russian and world experts in the field of RWD / RWE. Within the framework of the event, the chief clinical pharmacologist of Russia Petrov V.I., the deputy minister of health, Glagolev S.V. and Deputy Head of FAS Russia Nizhegorodtsev T.V.

As part of the plenary session, panel discussion and discussion session on practical experience, speeches were made by leading Russian and international experts in the field of RWD / RWE D.A. Rozhdestvensky, V.A.Merkulov, M.Yu. Frolov, D.A. Sychev, R. Kozlov C., Juhaeri Juhaeri (CIOMS) and Richard Willke (ISPOR).

The program was rich and interesting. The conference participants discussed tools for researching real clinical practice, the growing importance of RWE in modern medicine, legislation, as well as global perspectives in the world and in Russia. And, of course, we separately discussed technological changes during the COVID period.

“Last year we had 24 reports, this time already 30. Apparently, if the same dynamics persists, we will hold the conference for 2 days, and, hopefully, offline. I also want to note that within two weeks we will prepare a resolution, agree on it with all participants and post it on all available formats so that everyone can familiarize themselves with it ”- said A.S. Kolbin.

In September 2022, the III international conference dedicated to the modern aspects of RWD / RWE is planned.
