IX INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE "HEALTH TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT: IMPROVING THE DRUG SUPPLY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY"

On June 21-22, 2022, Moscow will host the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference "Health Technology Assessment: Improving the Strategy for the Development of the Drug Supply System".

The conference is supported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Center for Expertise and Quality Control of Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Committee of the Federation Council on Social Policy, the Association of Specialists in Health Technology Assessment and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "National Center for Technology Assessment in healthcare."
In the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the issues of patient support, access to medical care and drug provision of the population are becoming even more relevant.
Given the current epidemiological situation in the country and in the world, there is a lack of allocated resources for health care in general and for drug provision in particular. One of the reasons for the budget deficit is the insufficiently efficient and rational use of available funds. Current drug supply programs are not effective enough and do not cover many diseases that require high-cost treatment.
In the context of rising prices for medicines and growing scarcity of the health care system, many countries are using innovative approaches to the organization of drug provision, which allow to provide more patients with modern drugs in a limited budget. However, these approaches have both advantages and limitations.
This conference is held in order to study international experience in introducing innovations in the drug supply system, as well as to find ways to increase the efficiency of spending budgetary funds on drug provision of the population.
